Yvonne Grady It is with sadness that I have to notify the members
on the passing of Yvonne, Malcolm Grady’s wife of 61 years, Yvonne. She
passed away peacefully at home last week after several years of declining
health. She was a keen and loyal supporter of both Malcolm’s and Marc’s
archery and bow making achievements. In the 80s and 90’s she was also a
competitive long bow archer with many friends throughout the BLBS, the
Scorton Silver Arrow, Burton Constable Company of Archers and the Royal
Toxophilite Society. If any friends would like to drop a card of condolence
to Malcolm I’m sure it would be a light in the dark
just now. His address is ‘Charnwood’, 238 Louth Road, Scartho,
Grimsby, North Lincs. DN33 2LF. — † — William (Bill) Spencer It is with huge sadness that we learn of the passing of our very dear friend and fellow archer, Bill (William) Spencer who passed away on Sunday 25 January 2015. Members
of St Georges Archery Club, where Bill was Chairman, are utterly bereft in
grief at this sudden and tragic loss. Bill was an absolute stalwart of the
club, along with his wife Carol, and a major driving force in making the club
so successful. St George's became Bill and Carol's second home almost -
members young and old, like family. Forever generous in patience and of time, Bill had a passion for archery more dedicated than anyone else I've yet to meet. A passion that never altered or waned. His enthusiasm was contagious. Bill was a true friend to all, a perfect gentleman and the world of both St George's Archery Club and the Society of Archers, Scorton Arrow Competition that Bill attended year after year, will never be quite the same. He is survived by his dear Wife Carol, daughter Vicky and son Andrew and young grand children to whom we offer our heartfelt commiserations. The
funeral service is to be held on Friday 6th February at 11.40 at Stonefall Cemetery, Wetherby
Road, Harrogate HG3 1DE.
